UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA, NEW STADIUM PRESS TOWER - MOBILE, AL
TCG Provided structural concrete for a new four-story Press box tower at the University of Southern Alabama football stadium in Mobile Alabama. Work included footings set on auger cast piles, foundations, slab-on-grade, three cast-in-place concrete shear walls and slabs on metal deck. Utilized a free-standing pre-engineered shear wall formwork system to erect the three shear wall towers from grade with two of the three towers being erected simultaneously with the assistance of one crane for both systems.
165 tons of steel reinforcement bars were tied and place for the project. The project further included the placement of approximately 1,700 cubic yards of 4000 PSI concrete.
